Claudia’s Tres Leches Cake and Churro Latte

Happiness is always homemade at Ellie’s and we are so excited to be serving up this delicious, generational treat! Our Kitchen Manager, Laith, came to us with something extra sweet to kick off our month of May specials; his mother’s coveted tres leches cake recipe! Laith’s mother, Claudia, so generously shared her delectable recipe with us and we are now serving it at our Ellie’s Table Egan House cafe for a limited time! This tres leches cake recipe was passed down to Claudia from her mother (Laith’s grandma) who loves to bake traditional Mexican pastries like pan dulce. Growing up, tres leches cake was a staple for their family when celebrating birthdays, and to this day still remains a tradition. Now Claudia gets to make the cake and her mother gets to sit back and enjoy!

We hope you love this little slice of our Jay’s family: Claudia’s Tres Leches Cake!

Our Ellie’s Baristas have also been working on something special for May, a Churro Latte! Pair Claudia’s Tres Leches Cake with this delicious coffee drink for the ultimate, complementary flavor pairing.
